An amazing example of a not often seen Oldsmobile Starfire, in two tone red, with a grey top and matching grey interior. Displayed at the Packard Proving Grounds Open House October, 20th.

DEFECT #1 - VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL

Description
The fast idle cam on quadra-jet carburetors can crack and ultimately break apart.  If this occurs and parts fall into the throttle linkage, it could cause the throttle to stick in a partially open position.

Consequence
Unexpected loss of throttle control may result in anaccident.

Corrective Action
Install a new improved fast idle cam.
