Checker A11 cab, 1980. A yellow New York taxicab. Checker Motors was founded by Morris Markin, a Russian immigrant, in 1922 in Illinois. In 1923 the first Checker taxicab rolled off the assembly line.The company would later become the Checker Motors Corporation. The last cab was made in 1982. Checker campaign no n/a.taxicabs.possibility the two front support strapsand a rear support bracket may be insufficient to retain fuel tank underextremely severe driving conditions of taxicab operations in new york city.ifthe above condition exists it could result in fuel fed fires.(correct byinspecting and installing reinforcement kits).
