Description
Throttle return springs are subject to fatigue and could fail.

Consequence
Failure of both springs causes loss of truck control andcould result in an accident.

Corrective Action
Replace throttle return springs.

DEFECT #2 - FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:FUEL INJECTION SYSTEM:FUEL RAIL

Description
The 2nd and 6th high pressure fuel injection lines may crack due to engine vibration.  Consequence of defect: diesel fuel could be sprayed on a hot exhaust manifold which could result in a fire.

Consequence


Corrective Action
Replace 2nd and 6th fuel injection lines and install a support bracket for both lines.
