DEFECT #1 - VISIBILITY:DEFROSTER/DEFOGGER SYSTEM:WINDSHIELD:BLOWER

Description


Consequence
This could result in melt down of surrounding plastichousing and possible ignition of the melted material, resulting in a fire.

Corrective Action
Replace blower switch resistor with resistor with fusible link, and relocate the resistor to a location with increased flow of cooling air.

Notes
System: blower motor.vehicle description: heavy duty trucks.descriiption of defect: binding or freezing of blower motor with loss of coolingair and increased current draw could cause blower switch resistor coil to heatexcessively.

Steps may not be properly welded.

Consequence
Step welding could fail and result in injury to user.

Corrective Action
Replace steps.
