Morning at Lake Marie

Lake Marie is the westernmost lake at the summit of the Snowy Mountain Scenic Byway in Wyoming. It sits in front of the rugged granite Snowy mountains, part of the Medicine Bow range. The peak elevation of the range is 13,000 ft. The lake was named Marie in the mid-1800s by a government surveyor after his wife.

Description
The lpg pigtail hose which connects to lpg bottle and leads to the lpg regulator can separate at the crimp that connects the brass petroleum, oil, and lubricants (p.o.l.) nut to the flexible gas hose.

Consequence
Hose separation between the bottle and the regulator cancause unrestricted flow of lpg and result in fire near a source of ignition.

Corrective Action
Replace the two pigtail hoses on every vehicle.

System: equipment; liquid petroleum gas (lpg) hoses.vehicle description: fifth wheel recreational vehicles and slide in campers.note: western will ship the new pigtail hoses to owners, and reimburse ownersthe cost of returning the defective pigtails as well as five dollars for theirassistance in this recall.
