DEFECT #1 - EQUIPMENT:RECREATIONAL VEHICLE:LPG FURNACE

Description
The furnaces were improperly installed.  A 1 1/4 minimum overlap between the chamber exhaust tube and the vent assembly exhaust is needed for proper exhaust.

Consequence
This condition can lead to carbon monoxide poisoning.

Corrective Action
Dealers will replace the furnace vent assembly.

System: furnace; recreational vehicle.vehicle description: 1995 and 1996 models 1661 and 1902 and 1996 model 1850 equipped with a suburban dd-17p furnace.note: owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time,should contact skyline at 1-800-962-7773.  Also contact the national highway traffic safety administration's auto safety hotline at 1-800-424-9393.
