DEFECT #1 - STEERING:LINKAGES

Description
Vehicle description: motor homes equipped with dana steering relay levers.  The levers can develop surface cracking.

Consequence
This cracking condition could cause a portion of the steering lever to break off, possibly causing loss of steering control.

Corrective Action
Dealers will replace the steering relay levers.

Notes
Owner notification began august 14, 2000.owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact featherlite at 800-237-8978.also contact the national highway traffic safety administration's auto safety hotline at 1-888-dash-2-dot (1-888-327-4236).
