Description
Vehicle description: folding trailers.  Improper tire clearance (less than 5/8) between the wheel and front frame cross member can result in the tire rubbing the metal frame.

Consequence
A loss of tire tread, overheating, and possible tire failure could occur.

Corrective Action
Dealers will inspect the trailers and correct tire clearance.

Notes
Owner notification began may 17, 1999.  Owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact fleetwood folding trailer at 1-814-445-9661.  Also contact the national highway traffic safety administration's auto safety hotline at 1-888-dash-2-dot (1-888-327-4236).
