DEFECT #1 - STRUCTURE

Description
Vehicle description: van conversions built on dodge b-vans.  The mounting bracket for the driver side aluminum running board may be too close to the gas tank and could puncture the tank under certain crash conditions.

Consequence
This could increase the risk of fire or explosion.

Corrective Action
Dealers will replace the driver side running board brackets.

Notes
Owner notification is expected to begin november 15, 2000.  Owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact sun hawk at 1-888-354-5229.also contact the national highway traffic safety administration's auto safety hotline at 1-888-dash-2-dot (1-888-327-4236).
