DEFECT #1 - FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:DELIVERY:HOSES, LINES/PIPING, AND FITTINGS

Description
Vehicle description: scooters. During full compression of the suspension system, the fuel shut-off valve on the underside of the fuel tank, will come into contact with the engine housing of the vehicle. This contact can cause a stress crack fracture to the petcock nipple to the fuel tank joint.
Consequence
This condition can cause a fuel leakage. Fuel leakage, in the presence of an ignition source, can result in a fire.
Corrective Action
American sundiro is instructing owners to contact an authorized dealer to have their scooter repaired free of charge.
