On display was this rare 1971 Cushman Haulster that was at the show. These were imported from the USA by Australia Post and used up in Brisbane in a trial, but was scrapped, this one has survived.
Taken at Lake Goldsmith Steam Rally, Victoria in 2014.

DEFECT #1 - WHEELS:CAP/COVER/HUB

Description
Vehicle description: flat bed, model 898465b 3-wheel on-road vehicles.  A hub washer was improperly manufactured and could deform when the hardware securing the hub is tightened.

Consequence
This could allow the axle nut to loosen, resulting in oil leaking out of the splines of the axle and/or axle failure.

Corrective Action
Dealers will replace the hub washer.

Notes
Owner notification is expected to begin during december 2000.  Owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact cushman at 1-402-475-9581.  Also contact the national highway traffic safety administration's auto safety hotline at 1-888-dash-2-dot (1-888-327-4236).
