The DB7 became the best selling Aston Martin to date, designed by Ian Callum and Keith Helfet. The prototype debuted at the Geneva Motor Show of 1993.
Originally from a design by Keith Helfet for the Jaguar F project the styling was adapted as an Aston Martin by Ian Callum though still sharing a family resemblance to the Jaguar XK8

The DB7 was engineered at Kiddlington. Oxfordshire by TWR (Tom Walkinshaw Racing) and the engines continued to be built there throughout the DB7 production. A new factory at Bloxham, Oxfordshire was acquired for final production that had previously been used to build the Jaguar XJ220. The DB7 family were to be the only Aston's built here
