Highway trailers. Mfg. Jan. 1, 1960 to sept. 30 1962. Pos sibility thatinduction hardening process in effect at north-a merican rockwell's axle plantcreated high residual stresses a t inner bearing shoulder area. Stresses mayturn into physica l cracks under extended field service. Continued use of axleafter cracking has axle spindle to fracture. (correct by repl acing wherereplacing where necessary. )
