The Galeras Colombia sequence was filmed on the Veluzat Movie Ranch in Santa Clarita

The film Dante's Peak was filmed largely in or around the town of Wallace, Idaho in 1996, with additional locations in California. This collection recreates and expands my original 2007 edition, comparing scenes from the movie with their real life counterparts, taken in 2017. Still my favorite movie, enjoy!

Possibility that front suspension sway bar will increase lateral loading onfront wheel hubs.this could subject the brake hubs to premature failure andcause wheel hub and front wheel to separate from vehicle.(correct by re-placing front wheel hub and drum assembly.)

Possibility of inadequate clamping force on steering shift tube set screws.this could allow shift tube to slip causing interference between shift tubelever and steering gear coupling which could result in loss of steeringcontrol.also, possibility of interference of retaining clips securingthrottle control rod and shift control rod, which could result in transmissionshifting into neutral during acceleration.(correct by inspecting andrepairing when necessary.)
