For a British Leyland era enthusiast I was overjoyed to hear Matchbox were bringing out a 1977 Jaguar XJ6C, the stylish but slow selling coupe derivative of the iconic XJ6 saloon.
It debuted in Case C and crosses over into D and another opportunity in adding a third to my collection.
I've predictably added some additional chrome and black detailing to areas it needs them the most as its only real disappointment is its lack of the shiny stuff at the factory. Detailing, particularly at the rear impresses with its intricacy, hopefully its next recolour will have chrome disc wheels too.

DEFECT #1 - ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM

Description
The exhaust gas recirculation manifold core plugs may become displaced resulting in a loss of engine vacuum and subsequent stalling.  This would produce immediate erratic engine operation and subsequent loss of power brakes and power steering assist.

Consequence


Corrective Action
Dealer will install a modified core plug device at no cost to owner.
