If it wasn't for Hot Wheels its extremely unlikely Xin Ka Er would have considered modelling the 1971 Buick Riviera or any other classic U.S. car it has in its large line up of 1/64 diecasts. Like so many low end Chinese toy makers they feel no shame whatsoever in copying whatever Hot Wheels and indeed Matchbox are producing even though ironically they aren't always able to be sold as cheaply as the originals!
In this instance I was able to buy five different six vehicle sets from AliExpress VERY cheaply though that price obviously reflects the quality of these castings which in fairness aren't horrible but you can see where costs have been saved.

DEFECT #1 - EXTERIOR LIGHTING

Description
The involved vehicles may have been assembled with clear lamp bulbs instead of the correct amber colored bulbs. As a result, these vehicles do not conform to federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 108, lamps, reflective devices and associated equipment, which requires that the front side marker lamps be amber when illuminated.

Consequence

Corrective Action
The dealer will install amber bulbs in the front side marker lamps on the involved vehicles at no cost to owner.

DEFECT #2 - PARKING BRAKE:CONVENTIONAL

Description
Vehicles fail to comply with federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 105, hydraulic brake systems. An incorrect parking brake adjusting spring was installed on certain vehicles. This may cause interference when attempting to apply the parking brakes.

Consequence

Corrective Action
The caliper actuator assembly will be replaced without charge.
