DEFECT #1 - VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL

Description
Hand throttle controls were not identified either on the control knob or on the instrument panel as required by fmvss 101.  Consequence of defect: trucks are not in compliance with fmvss 101, controls and displays.

Corrective Action
Word throttle will be affixed on or adjacent to the throttle control.

Notes
System: hand throttle control identification/fmvss 101.  Vehicle description: heavy duty truck type vehicles equipped with fleet instructions panels and optional vernier hand throttle controls.
