DEFECT #1 - SUSPENSION:FRONT:KING PIN

Description
A forging defect is present in the dana semi trailer king pin which causes it to fail.  Consequence of defect: king pin failure could cause loss of vehicle control without prior warning which could lead to a crash.

Corrective Action
Replace the front subframe which includes the king pin.

Notes
System: king pin bearing numbers w6 27333 or w6 27233.vehicle description: van or flatbed commercial semitrailers with gvwr from20,000 to 70,000lbs.
