Description
A required weld in the air ride suspension frame attaching area was omitted causing suspension and adaptor channels to be overloaded.

Consequence
Adaptor channels and suspension cross members could crack and fail with hanger and axle assembly detachment; this could result in a vehicle crash and/or a catastrophic axle detachment.

Corrective Action
Inspection and weld repair, if necessary, to attach the bogie subframe cross members to the bogie adaptor channel.
