Description
Axle seat used on rear axle may be too hard (brittle) and could crack.

Consequence
The affected axle would be loose, affecting steering anddirectional control, which could result in loss of vehicle control and anaccident.

Corrective Action
Replace suspect axle seat.

Notes
System: rear axle seat.vehicle description: heavy duty trucks 33,000 lbs.  Gvwr and greater.
