Typical North American school bus with a very conventional torpedo front design.
This is a 2nd generation B-Series bus with a B6 chassis. Chevrolet/GMC B-series buses were introduced in 1966.

This bus model is used at the American countryside all over the country.
Besides GM many other American companies have built these buses, like Reo, Ford, Dodge, International Harvester and more recently Wayne and Blue Bird.
It's just a curiosity in Europe.
This bus is now part of the Mart Leek collection (Hotel de Rijper Eilanden).

7600 kg.
Max. payload: 4885 kg.
Production Chevrolet B-Series 2nd Gen.: 1984-1991.

DEFECT #1 - PARKING BRAKE:DRIVELINE

Description
The parking brake drum attachment bolts may loosen and cause a driveline lockup condition when the bus is stopped or almost stopped.

Consequence
Driveline lock-up could cause loss of vehicle controlwithout prior notice, and result in a vehicle crash.

Corrective Action
Remove all of the parking brake drum bolts, apply a retaining compound to new bolts, and torque the new bolts to specification.

DEFECT #2 - VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL

Description
A manufacturing condition in the throttle body injector (tbi) unit might occur to allow the throttle cam lever to disengage from the throttle drive shaft.

Consequence
If the throttle cam lever disengages from the throttledrive shaft, the engine could go to wide open throttle without prior warning.this loss of vehicle accelerator control could result in a vehicle crash.

Corrective Action
Replace the throttle drive cover assembly.
