DEFECT #1 - POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION

Description
Unanticipated heat in the transmission can force the transmission fluid out of the vent tube.
Consequence
The vented transmission fluid can catch fire if exposedto a source of ignition.
Corrective Action
Install a longer transmission vent hose routed to the left side of the engine compartment of the vehicle.

Description
There may be fatigue fractures of the tie rod through the damper stud mounting hole.
Consequence
Tie rod fractures result in loss of steering control andthe possibility of a vehicle crash.
Corrective Action
Replace the existing tie rod assembly, damper, and damper bracket with newly designed parts.
