The Best of Scottish Motorsport event held at Knockhill Racing Circuit April 2024 hosted races from a variety of championships under the Knockhill Motor Sports Club (KMSC) and the Scottish Motor Racing Club (SMRC) banners.

This image shows Number 58, a white Lotus Elan entered by John Marshall, in wet conditions, participating in the Scottish Classic Sports & Saloons Championship.

DEFECT #1 - FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:STORAGE:TANK ASSEMBLY

Description
On certain passenger vehicles, the fuel tanks can leak.

Consequence
Fuel leakage, in the presence of an ignition source, could result in a fire.

Corrective Action
Dealers will replace the fuel tank.  Owner notification began august 26, 2002.  Owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact lotus at 1-800-245-6887.
