Description
Interference between the pitman arm and the steering gear housing due to insufficient clearance.

Consequence
This condition can cause limited or complete loss ofsteering control.

Corrective Action
Inspect vehicles for clearance and replace pitman arm if additional clearance with steering gear housing is necessary.

Notes
System: steering.vehicle description: conventional trucks equipped with set-back front axlelocation, straight-rail forward chassis, and trw/ross hfb 70 steering gear.
