An Infiniti J30 photographed in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia province, China.

Old Infiniti vehicles are very rare in China.

I saw this J30 at Hohhot Used Car market in west Hohhot.

The J30 was produced in Japan from 1992 to 1997 and only sold in North America under Infiniti brand.

It was powered by a V6 3.0 210hp.

90.000 J30s were sold in the USA in 1990s.

DEFECT #1 - SEAT BELTS:FRONT:ANCHORAGE

Description
A harness connector protector located near the seat belt pre-tensioner can ignite due to the proximity to the combustion gas generated by the pre-tensioner when the device is triggered.

Consequence
A fire can occur in the passenger compartment of these vehicles.

Corrective Action
Dealers will replace the harness connector protectors with ones having sufficient resistance to the combustion gas of the pre-tensioners when activated.
