Tiger Treker 2023 09-04

Somebody's old motor home parked in their side yard.

Albuquerque, New Mexico

It turns out the dearly departed Safari Motorcoach Corporation made a particularly durable and owner-beloved 'Trek' line of compact motorhomes that, starting in 1992, featured on the back of every one a one-of-a-kind, airbrushed nature mural by the Dame family. The sunglasses, however, almost certainly are not OEM.

DEFECT #1 - FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:STORAGE:TANK ASSEMBLY:FILLER PIPE AND CAP

Posted on: 1995-02-06
Description
The gasoline filler neck is located less than 3 feet from the propane water heater creating a fire hazard potential during gasoline fueling.

Consequence
This condition can result in a vehicle fire if gasoline vapors are ignited by the propane water heater.

Corrective Action
Dealers will move the gasoline filler spout to another location on the motorhome.  To remind owners to turn off the water heater while fueling the vehicle, a sticker will be mailed to the owners for placement on the gasoline filler door.
