My New England wheels

My New England wheels

A quick snap of the Chevrolet Corsica that I rented from Avis, taking me northwards up the I-95 from NYC. My mini-vacation took me as far as Maine (a first-time visit), then heading back south, I stopped in Cape Cod. This view was taken in Newport RI, alongside one of the citys many Colonial-era houses.

The Chevrolet Corsica was typical car rental fare of the time, a bread-and-butter compact design that featured a column gear shift. No scorching performance, but perfectly adequate for me.

Chevrolet produced some 1.6 million Corsicas between 1987-96. Its been years since I last saw one - and they dont as yet turn up at the classic car shows I attend.
