DEFECT #1 - STRUCTURE:FRAME AND MEMBERS

Description
Vehicle description: motorcycles.  Following an accident impact, weld fractures can occur on the main frame in the head stock area.

Consequence
This main frame should not fracture but bend after an impact.

Corrective Action
Dealers will replace these frames with newly manufactured frames.

Notes
Owner notification began october 1, 1997.owners who take their motorcycles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact triumphat 1-678-854-2010.also contact the national highway traffic safety administration's auto safety hotline at 1-800-424-9393.
