1997 Chrysler LHS

Introduced as early 1994 models in (spring) May 1993, the extended length New Yorker and LHS LH platform Sedans were Chrysler's new FWD flagship sedans. Built in Brampton, Ontario alongside the Concorde/Intrepid/Vision LH sedans with the 3.5 liter 214 HP V6, the LHS and New Yorker boasted added rear passenger room with six additional inches of length (207.4") while sharing the same 113" wheelbase. Total EPA interior volume was 125.9 cubic feet (including 17.9 cubic feet cargo volume in trunk). At a retail list (MSRP) price of $30,225, a no-charge front bench option was now available on the 1997 LHS as a replacement for the six seater New Yorker dropped in 1996 (moonroof also available at $795 and AM/FM cassette/CD player at $300).

Chrysler's second generation LHS and new 300M sports sedan would debut in May 1998 as early 1999 models.
