2000 Chrysler 300M

Announced at the New York Auto Show in March 1997 and introduced as early 1999 models in spring (May) 1998, the 300M sports sedan and luxury LHS were upscale versions of the second generation LH platform Concorde sedan, all built in Brampton, Ontario. The performance oriented 300M (picking up where the letter series 300s left off at 300L in 1965) was shorter than the LHS by about ten inches with reduced rear legroom and cargo capacity, but included a split folding rear seat for larger loads. Both had the 250 HP 3.5 liter V6 and were five seaters only (no front bench option). The 300M was smaller than the Concorde and LHS in EPA interior and cargo volume (105 cubic feet interior and 16.8 cargo volume vs. 107.3 and 18.7 respectively), though all three were in the EPA large class. Only minor trim and option selection changes followed for 2000.
