DEFECT #1 - SUSPENSION

Description
On certain motor coaches and motor homes, cracks were found in the material used to make suspension radius rod pins.  

Consequence
Broken rod pins can cause a loss of control of the vehicle, which could result in a crash.  

Corrective Action
Dealers will inspect all parts and, if necessary, replace the rod pins.  The recall is expected to begin during september 2004.  Customers may also contact prevost at 1-418-831-5432.

DEFECT #2 - STEERING:GEAR BOX:SHAFT PITMAN

Description
On certain motor homes equipped with front independent suspension, two spindle shafts were improperly processed during manufacturing which weakened the shafts.  

Consequence
The shafts can break causing a loss of steering control increasing the risk of a crash.

Corrective Action
Dealers will replace the two spindle shafts and surrounding parts free of charge.  The recall began on october 12, 2006.  Owners may contact prevost at 418-831-5432.

DEFECT #3 - STEERING:GEAR BOX (OTHER THAN RACK AND PINION)

Description
On certain new face-lift motor coaches and motor homes equipped with independent front suspension, a modification was made to the steering gearbox mounting support.  The support may develop stress cracks under heavy load conditions.  

Consequence
The steering gearbox may become loose affecting steering control, increasing the risk of a crash.  

Corrective Action
Dealers will weld three (3) reinforcement brackets to the gear box support.  Owner notification began may 2, 2003.  Owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact prevost at 1-418-831-5432.
