Description

On certain motorcycles and scooters, the rear brake shoe material could separate due to improper adhesive curing.  

Consequence

If such separation occurs during operation, braking ability with the rear wheel will be reduced or lost, which could cause a crash.  

Corrective Action

Dealers will replace the rear brake shoes. The recall began on october 8, 2004. Owners should contact yamaha at 1-800-889-2624
