DEFECT #1 - ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:BATTERY

Description
Pagani automobili spa (pagani) is recalling all 2017 huayra coupe bc and huayra roadster vehicles.  The battery management software may prevent the battery from providing enough power to start the car or keep the car running at idle.

Consequence
An engine stall can increase the risk of a crash.

Corrective Action
Pagani will notify owners, and dealers will replace the battery with a new one that has new battery management software, free of charge.  The recall began on april 5, 2018.  Owners may contact pagani customer service at 1-415-350-7220.

Owners may also contact the national highway traffic safety administration vehicle safety hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (tty 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.
