20240408 Weekend Ride

First motorcycle ride of the year! The first ride after a while always takes time to get ready - washing, lubing the chain, checking tire pressures... I didn't have a set destination, just stopped and went as I pleased.

Somehow arriving at the Fishermen's Terminal. Not much is going on there. Then I recalled a nearby coffee shop I wanted to check it out. That's how I ended up at the Caffe Appassionato Coffee Roastery and Tasting Bar. Love the vibe and the space. The place was not busy when I got there. I picked a window seat where I could see my bike. Is it weird that I spy on my own bike?

DEFECT #3 - EXTERIOR LIGHTING:TURN SIGNAL

Posted on: 2021-05-18
Description
Ducati north america (ducati) is recalling certain 2021 scrambler 800 night shift motorcycles.  The front and rear turn signal lights may not flash brightly enough.  As such, these motorcycles fail to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard (fmvss) number 108, lamps, reflective devices, and associated equipment.

Corrective Action
Dealers will replace the front and rear turn signals, free of charge.  Owner notification letters were mailed on june 28, 2021.  Owners may contact ducati customer service at 1-888-391-5446.  Ducati's number for this recall is srv-rcl-21-009.
