Description
Vermeer manufacturing company (vermeer) is recalling certain 2021 bc900xl, bc1000xl, and bc1200xl brush chippers. The chipper discharge chute may separate, and fall off the trailer.
Consequence
A separated chipper discharge chute can become a road hazard, increasing the risk of injury or crash.
Corrective Action
Dealers will install a field remedy kit, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on october 21, 2021. Owners may contact vermeer's customer service at 1-800-829-0051 ext. 7060. Vermeer's number for this recall is ik4126.

DEFECT #3 - SUSPENSION:MULTIPLE AXLE

Description
Vermeer manufacturing company (vermeer) is recalling certain 2021 bc900xl brush chipper trailers. The mounting bolts that secure the axle assembly to the mainframe structure of the brush chipper may not have been tightened properly.
Consequence
Loose axle mounting bolts may result in the axle separating from the brush chipper, increasing the risk of a crash.
Corrective Action
Vermeer will notify owners, and dealers will replace the mounting bolts and tighten them to the correct torque specification, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin april 20, 2021. Owners may contact vermeer customer service at 1-800-829-0051 ext. 7060. Vermeer's number for this recall is ik4005.
