New York Auto Show, 2024: Hyundai Elantra

The Hyundai Elantra, now in its seventh generation, is a no-nonsense compact sedan for the many people in America who still want one but are stuck with only SUVs to choose from. Credit Hyundai for still meeting demands of a forgotten market segment. And with a base price of $21,625, the 2024 Elantra is a steal.

The Elantra has a base 1.6-liter four with an optional two-liter four, mated to a seven-speed continuous variable automatic transmission.
