DEFECT #1 - ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:PROPULSION SYSTEM:TRACTION BATTERY:MANAGEMENT SYSTEM/ENERGY CONTROL MODULE (BMS/BECM)

Description
Electra meccanica vehicles corp (electra) is recalling certain 2021-2023 solo vehicles. A defect in the motor controller and inverter or the battery controller may cause the electric motor to shut down and cause a sudden loss of drive power.
Consequence
A sudden loss of drive power increases the risk of a crash.
Corrective Action
The remedy is currently under development. The manufacturer has not yet provided a schedule for recall notification. Owners may contact electra customer service at 1-888-457-solo (7656).
