DEFECT #1 - SEAT BELTS:CRITICAL FASTENERS

Description
Winnebago industries, inc.  (winnebago) is recalling certain 2020-2023 winnebago shell, 2021-2023 winnebago inspire, 2022-2023 winnebago vista, adventurer, forza, journey and itasca sunstar motorhomes.  The seat belt attachment may have been improperly tightened.  As such these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard (fmvss) 210, seat belt assembly anchorages.

Consequence
A loose seat belt attachment may not properly restrain the occupant in the event of a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

Corrective Action
Dealers will inspect and tighten the seat belt attachment fasteners, as necessary, free of charge.  Owner notification letters were mailed july 24, 2023.  Owners may contact winnebago at 1-800-537-1885.  Winnebago's number for this recall is 175.

DEFECT #2 - EXTERIOR LIGHTING

Description
Winnebago industries, inc.  (winnebago) is recalling certain 2023 adventurer, vista and itasca sunstar motorhomes.  The motorhomes may be missing the rear reflectors.  As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard (fmvss) number 108, lamps, reflective devices, and associated equipment.

Consequence
Missing reflectors reduce the vehicle's visibility to other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.

Corrective Action
Dealers will install the reflectors, free of charge.  Owner notification letters were mailed may 11, 2023.  Owners may contact winnebago customer service at 1-641-585-6939 or 1-800-537-1885.  Winnebago's number for this recall is 173

DEFECT #3 - ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:WIRING

Description
Winnebago industries, inc.  (winnebago) is recalling certain 2023-2024 vista, sunstar, and adventurer motorhomes built on f53 chassis.  The wiring may have been incorrectly routed, damaging the forward-facing camera wiring.  

Consequence
Damaged wiring can cause the camera to become inoperable, disabling active brake assist, lane keep assist, and auto high beams and increasing the risk of a crash.  

Corrective Action
Dealers will reroute the wiring, free of charge.  Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed october 11, 2024.  Owners may contact winnebago customer service at 1-641-585-3535.  Winnebago's number for this recall is 187.

DEFECT #4 - EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL

Description
Winnebago industries, inc.  (winnebago) is recalling certain 2021-2023 sunstar, vista, 2022-2023 cambria, inspire, 2023 forza, 2024 minnie winnie, spirit, 2024-2025 porto and vita motorhomes.  The led backlight circuit board in the cooktop range may fail, causing the board to overheat.  

Consequence
A circuit board that overheats increases the risk of a fire.  

Corrective Action
Dealers will replace the cooktop control panel, free of charge.  An interim notification letter was mailed june 25, 2024.  A second final remedy notice will be sent once the final remedy is available.  Owners may contact winnebago customer service at 1-641-585-6939 or 1-800-537-1885.  Winnebago's number for this recall is 184.
