DEFECT #1 - VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL

Mack trucks, inc. (mack) is recalling certain 2023-2024 gr, an, lr, and terrapro vehicles. The engine may not return to idle within 2 seconds if the accelerator pedal position sensor becomes disconnected. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard number 124, accelerator control systems.
Consequence
An engine that does not return to idle quickly enough can cause a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.
Corrective Action
Mack will replace the throttle pedal and update the vehicle software, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed february 27, 2024. Owners may contact mack customer service at 1-800-866-1177. Mack's number for this recall is sc0455.

DEFECT #2 - ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL (ESC)

Mack trucks, inc. (mack) is recalling certain 2024 anthem and pinnacle vehicles. A software programming error may cause the electronic stability control (esc) to be inoperative.
Consequence
Driving with an inoperative electronic stability control system can increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective Action
Dealers will reprogram the control unit software, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed december 3, 2023. Owners may contact mack's customer service at 1-800-866-1177. Mack's number for this recall is sc0450.

Mack trucks, inc. (mack) is recalling certain 2024-2025 anthem, granite, and pinnacle vehicles equipped with rolltek driver's seat assemblies. The seat pedestal and seat belt attachment may have been improperly tightened.
Consequence
An improperly tightened seat pedestal and seat belt attachment may not restrain the occupant as intended, increasing their risk of injury during a crash.
Corrective Action
Dealers will replace and tighten the seat pedestal and seat belt attachment bolts, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed september 27, 2024. Owners may contact mack customer service at 1-800-866-1177. Mack's number for this recall is sc0469.

Mack trucks, inc. (mack) is recalling certain 2024 anthem, pinnacle, and terrapro vehicles. The steering gear assemblies may have been assembled incorrectly with fewer recirculating balls than are required, which may result in a loss of steering control.
Consequence
A loss of steering control increases the risk of a crash.
Corrective Action
