DEFECT #1 - ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:PROPULSION SYSTEM: CABLES:FASTENER/CONNECTOR

Mack trucks, inc. (mack) is recalling certain 2024 md vehicles. An incorrectly assembled high voltage connector could prevent the mechanical connector lock from properly engaging, allowing the high voltage cable to loosen.
Consequence
A loose high voltage cable can cause a sudden loss of steering and drive power, increasing the risk of crash.
Corrective Action
Owners are advised not to drive their vehicles until the remedy has been completed. Dealers will inspect and repair the mechanical connector lock as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed july 10, 2024. Owners may contact mack customer service at 1-800-866-1177. Mack's number for this recall is sc0467.

Mack trucks, inc. (mack) is recalling certain 2024 mmde electric trucks. The battery management system software may cause the high-voltage battery to shut down, which can result in a sudden loss of steering control and drive power.
Consequence
A sudden loss of steering control and drive power increases the risk of a crash.
Corrective Action
Owners are advised not to drive their vehicles until the remedy has been completed. Dealers will update the battery management system software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed july 10, 2024. Owners may contact mack customer service at 1-800-866-1177. Mack's number for this recall is sc0464.
