Description

Orange EV is recalling certain 2023-2024 HUSK-e, 2023-2024 e-TRIEVERs, and 2018-2023 T-Series trucks built with frame extenders. The frame extenders obstruct the rear turn signals, reverse, brake, and taillights. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

Consequence

Obstructed rear lights can reduce the vehicle's visibility to pedestrians or other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.

Corrective Action

Owners are advised to limit on-road use while operating without a trailer until the remedy is completed. Defect #20: Thermal Management Malfunction (MFR Campaign: 2025-SRC-04)

Description

Orange EV (OEV) is recalling certain 2023-2025 Orange EV Husk-e terminal trucks. The high voltage short circuit protection system may have an inadequate fuse.

Consequence

In the event of a short, the fuse may open too slowly or not at all, increasing the risk of a fire.

Corrective Action

Consequence

The loose bolts can cause steering system components to separate, resulting in loss of steering control and increasing the risk of a crash.

Corrective Action

Description

Orange EV (OEV) is recalling certain 2017-2024 T-Series, 2023-2025 e-TRIEVER, and HUSK-e terminal trucks. The hazard warning lights may turn off when the ignition is in the 'Off' position. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

Consequence

Hazard lights that do not remain on cannot warn other drivers of a disabled vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

Corrective Action

Consequence

The incorrect washer can cause the bus bar connection to loosen or open, resulting in electrical arcing and increasing the risk of a fire.

Corrective Action

Defect #28: Rim Malfunction (MFR Campaign: 2025-SRC-01)

Description

Orange EV is recalling certain 2023-2024 HUSK-e XP terminal trucks. The rear Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR) on the federal placard is incorrect and the installed tires and rims may be inadequate for the truck's intended use. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 120, "Wheels and Rims - Other Than Passenger Cars."

Consequence

An incorrect GAWR and an inadequate tire and rim combination can lead to unintentionally overloading the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

Corrective Action

The remedy is currently under development. Owner notification letters were mailed August 18, 2025. Owners may contact Orange EV customer service at 1-866-688-5223

Description

Defect #30: Driveshaft Malfunction (MFR Campaign: 2025-SRC-06)

Description

Orange EV (OEV) is recalling certain 2024-2025 HUSK-e Tandem terminal trucks. The driveshaft may contact and damage the passenger side brake chamber or brake chamber bracket.

Consequence

Damaged brake components may cause a reduction of brake performance and unexpected activation of the emergency braking system, increasing the risk of a crash.

Corrective Action

OEV field service will inspect and replace the driveshaft and brake chamber components as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed November, 2025. Owners may contact OEV customer service at 1-866-688-5223. OEV's number for this recall is 2025-SRC-06

Defect #31: Thermal Management Malfunction (MFR Campaign: 2025-SRC-04)

Description

Orange EV (OEV) is recalling certain 2023-2025 Husk-e terminal trucks. The high voltage short circuit protection system may have an inadequate fuse.

Consequence

In the event of a short, the fuse may open too slowly or not at all, increasing the risk of a fire.

Corrective Action

OEV will replace the fuse, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 9, 2025. Owners may contact OEV customer service at 1-866-688-5223. OEV's number for this recall is 2025-SRC-04
