On this 60 °F Monday, January 27th, 2025 Afternoon, We see Hazzard Range County Sheriff’s Office Animal Control Deputy Dorthy Vries assisting Floyd's Tire and Auto Repair owner Mark Cortez and another man Jerry Valeze with getting a cat out of Jerry’s 1966 Ford Thunderbird that was towed into after it would not start. Lucky for the cat it did not. After getting the cat out and just as Animal Control Deputy Vries pulled up, Jerry realized it was not any stray cat. It is his wife Mary’s cat and Jerry a Korean war veteran who will tell anyone who will listen the only thing that comes close is his old drill sergeant is, Mary when she is Mad at him …
The scene takes place In Sparta the county seat and the Ford -150 is owned by Eagle Lake Irrigation District

Description
Ford motor company (ford) is recalling certain 2020-2025 explorer, lincoln aviator, 2020-2024 escape, lincoln corsair, 2018-2024 f-150, expedition and lincoln navigator vehicles.  The air bag warning label may be missing from the dashboard.  As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirement federal motor vehicle safety standard number 208, occupant crash protection.

Consequence
Without a label that shows the proper restraint usage guidelines, the occupants may have an increased risk of injury in the event of a crash.

Corrective Action
Ford will mail owners the warning labels, free of charge.  Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed december 16, 2024.  Owners may call ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332.  Ford's number for this recall is 24c39.

DEFECT #5 - BACK OVER PREVENTION:SOFTWARE

Description
Ford motor company (ford) is recalling certain 2025 explorer and lincoln aviator vehicles.  The rearview camera image may fail when the vehicle speed reaches 10 mph or greater.  As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard number 111, rear visibility.

Consequence
The loss of the rearview camera image while in reverse can reduce the driver's rear visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.

Corrective Action
The accessory protocol interface module (apim) software will be updated through an over-the-air (ota) update or by a dealer, free of charge.  Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed december 2, 2024.  Owners may contact ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332.  Ford's number for this recall is 24c34.

Description
Ford motor company (ford) is recalling certain 2023 lincoln corsair, 2023-2024 escape, 2024 mustang, and 2025 explorer vehicles.  The fuel injectors may have been assembled without o-ring support discs, which can result in a fuel leak.

Consequence
A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire.

Corrective Action
Dealers will install new fuel injector o-rings and o-ring support discs, free of charge.  Owner notification letters were mailed october 7, 2024.  Owners may contact ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332.  Ford's number for this recall is 24s54.
