DEFECT #1 - TRAILER HITCHES:FIFTH WHEEL ASSEMBLY

Description
There is a marginal weld penetration between the bracket weldment and the plate.  This can cause the bracket and plate to separate.

Consequence
Separation of the bracket and the plate can cause anytowed vehicle to separate from the towing truck or tractor and result in avehicle accident.

Corrective Action
Replace the mounting bracket and plate.
