Description
Welds that attach tube and chain bracket to crossmember assembly were porous and inadequate in size.

Consequence
Failure of welds could lead to sudden separation of thetrailer from the towing vehicle.

Corrective Action
Hitches are to be returned for replacement of crossmembers at no cost to the consumer.
