DEFECT #1 - STEERING

Description
Oshkosh corporation (oshkosh) is recalling certain shepphard gears, with part number 3875726, sold as replacement parts for certain s-series 2.0 vehicles.  The steering gears may have been assembled incorrectly, which can cause the gear to fracture.  

Consequence
A fractured steering gear can cause a loss of steering control, increasing the risk of a crash.  

Corrective Action
Dealers will replace the steering gear, free of charge.  Owner notification letters were mailed on october 27, 2022.  Owners may contact oshkosh's customer service at 1-888-686-7278.
